Our Story

Growing up in San Diego, beef jerky was always one of my favorite snacks. As a first-generation Cambodian American, I'm proud to carry forward the flavors and traditions I grew up with. My parents came to the United States as refugees and survivors from Cambodia, determined to build a brighter future for our family and future generations.

In 2020, I started experimenting with my own beef jerky recipe, inspired by the bold Asian flavors that have always been part of our home cooking. What began as homemade batches for family and friends quickly became something people kept asking for. Their encouragement motivated me to keep refining my flavor, and by the end of 2025, I decided it was time to share my creation with everyone.

Today, every bag is made with my original marinade, premium cuts of beef, and the same small-batch care that started it all. SJ Cuts is more than just jerky... it's a reflection of my family's journey, my love for delicious food, and my passion for creating something worth sharing.
